My name is Cassie Edelman, I am a proud Momma of three little boys. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania where I received a Bachelors Degree in Biology, with a concentration in Marine Biology, from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Growing up with a love for the ocean, I followed my dream to the Florida Keys. After working as a marine mammal trainer for three years, my husband and I moved to the Tampa Bay Area where I then worked at Clearwater Marine Aquarium as a Sea Turtle Biologist.
While pregnant with my first son, a good friend of mine told me about her daughter's ISR lessons. At the time I had never heard of ISR but the pictures and video she sent amazed me. My husband and I decided to enroll our son when he was old enough; being able to give your child the skills to save themselves if the need presented is priceless. Sure enough our son graduated as a floater at 8 months old. After this experience, I felt a calling to become an Instructor.
I am now a certified ISR Instructor and am excited to offer families in Largo, FL and the surrounding area the benefits of the most effective and safe Self-Rescue® program available and therefore provide a new level of safety to children in an area surrounded by water. Infant Swimming Resource is an extremely effective drowning prevention program that I am thrilled to take part in. This team of individuals has a strong mission to keep children safe in and around the water by equipping them to be aquatic problem-solvers. Children are so precious to us and it is our job to be diligent in keeping them safe. I look forward to working with each of your little ones and teaching them a love for the water as well as very necessary swimming and self-rescue® skills!
